Combining Sephardic heartache, jazz, flamenco, and melancholic rhythms of the Orient in her gorgeous voice, Jasmin Levy, one of the world’s biggest stars of world music, brought down the curtain on this year’s Belgrade River Fest, a prestigious music festival on the river bank, with a spectacular performance on the plateau behind the Geozavod last night.
The magical Mediterranean night in Belgrade Waterfront was marked by the touching emotions of Jasmin Levy, who, accompanied by virtuoso musicians, won the hearts of the Belgrade audience with her powerful voice and impressive charm. Several thousand gathered spectators greeted each of her tracks with applause, and the whole musical spectacle was completed with a several-minute fireworks display that lit up Sava Promenada and enchanted everyone present.
On the first evening of the Belgrade River Fest, which marked June 21 – World Music Day, today’s greatest opera diva, soprano Anna Netrebko, her husband and famous tenor Yusif Eyvazov, and the celebrated Serbian baritone Zeljko Lucic, had a performance, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of Radio Television of Serbia. Their joint performance in the magnificent open-air concert hall was accompanied by a standing ovation from the audience and unforgettable fireworks in the sky above the Sava.
Belgrade River Fest was organized for the first time on July 22 and 23, 2022, when legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and Portuguese fado diva Mariza performed.
