Galerija won a prestigious international award in the field of real estate, the European Property Awards, in as many as two categories – Retail architecture, and Retail Development. An independent international jury based in London, composed of about a hundred eminent experts, awards the best companies in the fields of real estate and retail every year, and now, for the first time, the largest shopping, entertainment and dining destination in the region of Southern-Eastern Europe is among the winners.
“We are proud that Galerija brought numerous novelties to our market. Our unique loyalty program allows customers, by scanning their receipts through the application, to refund a part of the money spent and to achieve numerous other benefits. Galerija offers visitors about 300 international and domestic brands presented through innovative concepts and about 50 cafes and restaurants with local and international cuisine, most of which are located on the Sava Promenada, with an impressive view of the river. We have the only cinema in the Balkans with the most modern IMAX® laser technology, which sets new standards for watching movies on the giant screen of the Cineplexx Cinema Galerija. The entertainment contents and events that are organized here throughout the year confirm that Galerija is a shopping, entertainment and dining destination that brings world standards to our region”, said Zorana Burlić, director of the Belgrade Waterfront.
The European Property Awards is part of the International Property Awards, a prestigious award given for top achievements in real estate, development, architecture, interior design, and marketing in the residential and commercial sectors. The awards are recognized as the gold standard for excellence in the real estate industry.
In addition to being the largest shopping center in the region, Galerija is designed so that its appearance fits perfectly into the ambient whole by the river. The exterior is dominated by stone and glass and represents an ideal addition to the Sava coast, while the interior is totally inspired by the urban atmosphere and eclectic architecture of the Serbian capital. Galerija, in fact, represents a kind of homage to Belgrade, its streets and squares. Inside, you can walk through Kula Square, go up to Sava Square, or feel the vibrant spirit of Sava Avenue, City Street, or Belgrade Avenue.
Galerija previously received the EuropaProperty CEE Retail & Marketplace Award for 2021 in the category of the best large shopping mall in Central and Eastern Europe.
