The Chinese Lantern Festival was opened with a spectacular fireworks over Belgrade Waterfront, where visitors had the opportunity to enjoy the magic of light. For the first time, citizens revered the Chinese New Year on Sava Promenada, in front of Galerija Belgrade, the largest shopping centre in the region.
A magical display of flowers, elephants, mushrooms, and other installations awaits curious visitors on Belgrade’s favorite esplanade, where they can enjoy a magical show of light every day from 5:00 PM, until February 25 – completely free of charge.
The initiator of this event, artist Slobodan Trkulja, stated that he is happy because the festival was organized in difficult times and that all generations have the opportunity to get acquainted with the magic of lanterns.
“A lot has changed since the last festival, life is different, but I believe that we still have the need and desire for a beautiful experience. The Chinese Festival of Light is a real opportunity to go out with your family and dear friends and visit the world of the creative game of light,” said Trkulja.
It’s time to get acquainted with a completely new world of imagination and light by the river Sava, which will be equally interesting for everyone.
