Announcing the start of the new basketball season, Red Star and Partizan basketball players Branko Lazic and Stefan Bircevic spent a Sunday with visitors and Belgrade schoolchildren at Sava Promenada.The event commenced with a warm up at the outdoor gym.
„Exercising is important not only for the children’s physical development, but also for their better concentration. Outdoor exercise is of great importance, since it costs nothing and is very healthy. You can perform the majority of basic exercises for all muscle groups at venues such as Sava Promenada, where you have an outdoor gym,“ Lazic stated.
Lazic and Bircevic were the captains of the teams, formed by students from primary schools in Belgrade. The „Tower A“ and „Tower B“ teams were named after the towers in BW Residences, the residential building which is currently being constructed along Sava Promenada. As real captains, the basketball stars cheered the young athletes, giving them tips and showing them tricks to become better shooters.
