Exhibition of Nikola Kolja Božović “Atelier Chronicle”

The exhibition “Atelier Chronicle” by Nikola Kolja Božović will be opened on Wednesday, November 10, starting at 7 pm in the KvArt BW exhibition space, on the second floor of the Galerija shopping center.

“The artworks of Nikola Božović are a unique clash of worlds. He creates symbols of nature like flowers and trees without a shred of tenderness and beauty that nature provides. His nature is modern, urban, fast, and city chic. In his quest to merge the incompatible, both technically and symbolically, Božović creates ideal conditions to fit the Hulk, graffiti, and collaged flowers into an explosive whole that bursts with the temptation of borders. The Atelier Chronicle gave Božović all the necessary freedom and strength to express himself as an artist-innovator who strives to create an authentic idea using a variety of visual language”, said Ana Kršljanin, art historian.

Nikola Kolja Božović (1975) graduated and obtained his master’s degree at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. He works as an associate professor at the same faculty. He is a member and one of the founders of the HYPE group and the Art of Reality Association. Since 1999, he has exhibited at solo and group exhibitions as well as at international exhibitions and contemporary art fairs in Vienna, Cologne, and Moscow.

The exhibition is organized within the program of the Art Initiative KvArt BW together with the Gallery Štab and will be open until November 20, 2021. The working hours of the gallery are every day from 11 am to 9 pm, and the entrance is free.
