CHINESE NEW YEAR’S EVE

Chinese New Year will be welcomed again in the largest shopping centre in the region! In anticipation of the Year of the Dragon, a rich cultural and artistic program will be organized in Galerija on February 7 and 9.

On Wednesday, February 7, an interactive exhibition will be organized in the central hall of Galerija to present the traditional art of Fujian Province and process of creating paper figures, rattan handcrafts and lanterns. Through a stage performance, the Chinese ensamble will bring the city of Quanzhou closer to the audience and introduce them to the secrets of tea-drinking ceremonies, traditional martial arts, dance, opera arias and puppet shows.

On Friday, February 9, on the plateau in front of Galerija’s entrance no. 5, at 5 PM, a festive celebration of the Chinese New Year will be organized with a multi-minute fireworks display, which will be followed by a big carnival parade.

Wednesday, February 7^th:

6 PM – Presentation of the traditional art of Fujian province, the city of Quanzhou

6.30 PM – Address by officials of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Serbia, representatives of local self-government and the Belt and Road Institute

6:45 PM – Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Performance Troupe show

Friday, February 9^th:

4.45 PM – Address by the Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Serbia Li Ming, and representatives of the Belt and Road Institute

5 PM – Chinese New Year celebration and fireworks

5.10 PM – Carnival parade inspired by the Year of the Dragon and the EXIT festival
