Exhibition Are you a human being?

Exhibition Are you a human being? of artist Antanasije Punosevac will be opened on Tuesday, September 12, at 7 PM in the KvArt BW exhibition space on the second floor of Galerija.

This exhibition will show a series of works of monumental format, focusing on the human body. In the works of the latest production, the author introduces colorism and fluo colors that flow onto the background itself, leaving the drawing at the level of skilfully drawn contours. Punosevac examines the movement of the border between human and dehumanized, asking the question: What makes a person human? The works are inspired by dehumanization, dystopian literature and film, and empathy, the presence or absence of which makes us human or synthetic robotic mechanisms.

Antanasije Punosevac was born in 1992 in Aleksandrovac. He completed his undergraduate and master’s studies as a student of the generation at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 2015. He received his doctorate at the same faculty in 2021. He has been a member of ULUS since 2018. He organized ten solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. He is the winner of several awards in the field of drawing. He lives and works in Belgrade.

The exhibition Are you a human being? organized by ŠTAB Gallery and artistic initiative KvArt BW. The exhibition will be open until September 25, 2023, and the working hours of the KvArt BW gallery are every day from 11 AM to 7 PM. Entrance to the exhibition is free.
